Missing some players already in first game (Eva Verworner, Lena Wurzer, Pia Pfann) the Austrians also lost Lisa Zöhrer additionally on Saturday due to a knee injury. But generally the Sunday game was quite similar to the first one (2-1 OT win for Salzburg) – the Danes were more active, dominated the game and had more scoring chances. The Eagles played a very good defensive game, fought hard for every puck. And while goalie Carter again saved 40 shots against, forward Sophia Volgger scored another two goals plus the game winner in shootout. The latter after the game: „I am very happy that my goals helped to decide these two games. But it was only possible because our young team extended our own playing limits and showed great discipline in both games!“

And Ljubljana had no chance against last season’s gold medallist KMH Budapest – 0-15.
