EWHL League Champion 2021-22: KMH Budapest

Apr 3, 2022 | EWHL

European Women’s Hockey League: KMH wins the gold medals in EWHL league after a 4-2 against Aisulu Almaty, the Sabres Vienna succeed in the bronze medal game against MAC Budapest (5-1)…

For KMH it was the 4th consecutive win but the Hungarians needed some patience as the result after two periods showed a 1-1 on the scoreboard. Aisulu, for the first time participating in an EWHL gold medal game, played especially a very strong second period. But in the last 20 minutes the favourites and defending Champions secured the gold medals. Also in the game for bronze the result after two periods was 1-1 but Vienna scored four more times, two were empty net goals, when MAC Budapest went „all in“ and pulled the goalie in the end.
