In Memoriam Benny Andersson (1959-2024): Interview with Sara Hjalmarsson (Damkronorna), 31.08.2024

Benny Andersson, equipment manager of the Swedish women’s hockey team Damkronorna, sadly passed away recently.

We spoke to Sweden’s forward Sara Hjalmarsson (Linköping HC Dam) not only on the Women’s Euro Hockey Tour in Kloten so far, but mostly on Benny, whom we experienced as a very friendly and empathetic person.

Sara tells us what Benny meant to her and the team in the good and bad times they experienced together. She tells us what kind of person Benny was and what kind of character he had. And which special moments with him she fondly remembers.
